Vitalie Duporge is an English-French ceramics artist who searches for perfection in shapes and tones. During her 5-week residency she dedicated her time to throwing various clay forms on the wheel to become more comfortable with the technique. Her pieces became lighter and more refined as the residency went on, and she was able to experiment with oxide glaze creations. Her aesthetic is minimalist and her pieces raw fired, tying in with her background in sustainability and ecological living. Toward the end of her residency, Vitalie developed a love for cyanotype, and spent a few days playing with exposures of local plants.
