His research-based-practice investigates notions of race/ethnicity/cultural difference in a contemporary Australian setting. His methods involve investigating histories and material processes, exposing various treasured items as being hybrid, like cobalt blue ceramics, and indigo dyeing.
Keroshin’s work puts on evidence how hybrid identities can be used as a productive force for culture.
During his residency at Aviário Studio he experimented with different ways of transfering or generating images on clay, gaining new tools for future projects. Although much of his experimentation was on ceramics, he also tried out papermaking and developed a four color project in screen printing that later on was transported successfully into clay.
