Artist in Residence 2024 - Virginia Boutwell is an American visual artist who recently graduated with a BFA in Art & Technology from the University of Oregon. During her residency, she mainly focused on painting but also tried out screen printing. In her visual research, she juxtaposed abstract images with figurative ones, in a dialogue between structure and chaos. At times she took inspiration from the surrounding reality, and at other times she allowed the image to flow organically through the filters of her imagination.
