Audrey is a Korean-American ceramic artist from Chicago, who spent 2 weeks at Aviário Studio experimenting with new techniques through glazing, screen printing, cyanotype, and film photography. Audrey is a full-time medical student back in the states and has been away from art and ceramics for half a year. Her work reflects her connection to the human body and soul, as well as her exploration of mortality, burn out, and purpose.
During her two week residency, Audrey reflected on human anatomy in the form of functional pottery and created whimsical and humorous work in an attempt to make everyday life more fun. For
Audrey, this time was one that re-inspired her artistic practice and gave her a space to create freely.
